Today's song is about those that want to be clean and sober, they don't want to get clean and sober. These are the people that break your heart. I have known people like this and I have sponsored people like this in the recovery program ETA. I've gone round and round with them, spending my own serenity, trying to get them sober. Eventually, I had to give up and let them go. I have found them to be so frustrating and tragic that I have wanted to write a book called: "Keeping Them Sober With Duct Tape: A Sponsor's Guide".
